Jennifer began singing in elementary school and performed in church, school, and community college productions as a child. She also studied piano and played flute in the marching band. In high school she was drama club president, and was selected for honor bands and choirs. She competed in festivals, talent shows and pageants. She won trophies, a music camp scholarship, and talent scholarships to college. Throughout the years she has been a soloist in choirs, theatre productions, and has ministered in churches as a soloist, keyboardist, and worship leader. She has written songs for adults and children. Currently, she home schools her two sons, owns and operates Starlight Music Studio, and leads worship in churches, conferences, and ladies retreats. She enjoys a variety of styles of music and is versatile. She particularly loves singing American Jazz standards, but has fun with classical and rock too. She enjoys giving audiences that full gamut of sounds as the keyboardist/flutist/ singer in Tucksedo.

Jennifer has taught out of many different piano methods and tries to choose the one that best suits the learning style of each student. She does not believe in one size fits all. However, she favors the Hal Leonard Piano Library, Alfred's Music for Little Mozarts, Lyn Kleiners's Music Rhapsody, and Plankroad Publishing. She uses Orff, and Kodaly methodology, (For all you music education aficionados out there,) and believes in protecting voice health & good technique.

Ambition: To create a place for families to learn and make music together in the Star & Middleton area, and to finally finish that ominous CD Project...
