Spencer has been playing drums since he was fourteen years old. Some of his earlier musical endeavors include piano and choir, and he currently enjoys playing guitar and bass as well. Spencer has been involved with multiple worship bands since he started playing drums, and has had the opportunity to travel around  the Northwest connecting and mentoring other developing worship bands by teaching and playing for them. He has also done studio work for recording artists
Spencer is a gifted musician and emphasizes dynamics, rhythm, technique and flexibility in his teaching. He has been known to grab a nearby guitar and jam with his students as practical opportunity to improve their ability to play with other musicians, and enjoys seeing musicians grow as they continue to seek instruction.
